Official rules and regulations for Championship Fighting

Tournament Rules

  1. 1.1Bracket Format: Double Elimination
  2. 1.2Matches are FT3 (first to three victories). The organizers reserve the right to reduce matches to FT2 if required due to time constraints.
  3. 1.3Results must be reported to the control table or tournament staff
  4. 1.4If a match is scheduled for the stream, players must wait for approval from the control table before starting
  5. 1.5Players are encouraged to remain near the control table area during the tournament
  6. 1.6Players who are not present within 5 minutes of their turn will be disqualified (sent to the losers bracket if still in winners)
  7. 1.7Punching or hitting the cabinets or any walls of the venue is not allowed
  8. 1.8If both players prefer the same side, it will be decided with Rock-Paper-Scissors
  9. 1.9Any player may request a double-blind pick at the start of the match

Game Rules

  1. 2.1Gouki is banned
  2. 2.2S (old) characters may be used, but codes must be entered by the player without external assistance
  3. 2.3Counterpicking is allowed
  4. 2.4In the rare case of a "Game Draw", the game will be replayed (with the same characters)

    Platform for Auto Qualifiers:
    • Platform is determined by the tournament organizers for each qualifying event.
  4. 3.4
    Platform for the Final Tournament in Dallas:
    • Official Japanese arcade cabinets will be used.
    • The tournament will run on original arcade hardware only.
    • Console, emulator, FPGA (MiSTer), USB decoder, and supergun setups will not be used.
  5. 3.5In case of hardware malfunction, notify staff immediately for repairs.
  6. 3.6
    If a hardware malfunction occurs during a game:
    • Once the malfunction is repaired, the game is restarted and players will recreate the score so the normal play can resume. Life bars previous state won't be recreated.

General

  1. 4.1Tournament organizers have final authority over all rulings
  2. 4.2The organizers reserve the right to expel anyone for misconduct
